Mama Knits Crochets and Quilts

Knit across, purl across, knit across, purl across…

My poor indigo sweater…this is one of those projects I keep putting aside.  Right now I am working on the back, which will be made of two pieces that are mostly plain stockinette stitch after doing a minimal bit of rib stitch.  The neckline could have a little bit of shaping or could just be kept straight.  There is enough room from the front shaping for my head to get through the sweater so to keep it easy I could knit straight up to the finished length and bind off.  Two simple rectangles.  Should take me no time at all.  But there is no pattern to keep it interesting, there is no wondering what it will look like, there is no unveiling of what comes next.  What comes next is like a billion rows of plain stockinette stitch.  Well, not that many but a lot.  If there is nothing diverting on TV I think I will look for an audiobook or something to keep me entertained so I don’t go starting some new project.  I have enough of them started in my head, without starting one in real life.  Back to Indigo…
