Indigo progress

Yesterday I bought Mindy Ross’s pattern “Eternal Optimist”.  I think it is her newest one, and is for a scarf/shawl made of several different lace patterns, starting with dangling ‘seed pods’ and ending with lace leaves.  It can be beaded or not, and looks really really really cool.  I am thinking of my silk yarn currently living as Angry Dragon, except the pattern says 600 yds minimum, and I have 400.  I’m guessing I have 200 miscellaneous yards of fingering weight yarn in my stash that will work, but it won’t be silk.  I think if I add enough wool yarn throughout the pattern it will balance out.  Maybe.  I’m still in the contemplative stage of this project, but I definitely want to make this pattern with something, someday.

Today I am staying with my indigo yarn.  I finished one back section yesterday and started the second.  One shoulder seam got done with a three needle bind off; I love seeing progress.
