Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and mother-ers out there. Anybody who loves with a mother’s heart deserves a pat on the back, a round of applause, and a great big thank you.
Evan and I are going to church today; I feel in need of a special blessing. You know, that never hurts. And then, maybe, a stop at a yarn store. I am pretty set on covering the outside furnace vent pipes with yarn, now that I thought of it. Covering odd things like that is known as yarn bombing. A few years ago, Pittsburgh yarn-bombed a bridge. It was pretty awesome. I think I can knit or crochet a sleeve to slip over the vents to make them blend in and ‘disappear’ a little. AS LONG AS THE OPENINGS ARE TOTALLY OPEN AND UNOBSTRUCTED it should be fine. Right now there is a mesh lint sock on the end to keep little fingers from putting anything down the pipe. I think Evan has outgrown that, but I might leave it on, just in case.
