Winter is over

Well, not the season.  That is just getting started here in Pittsburgh.  It hasn’t even really snowed yet, just a few fat raindrops that looked suspiciously like they were getting colder.  But it is almost Thanksgiving, so winter has to be right around the corner.

But my Winter crocheting is over.  I did one version in a color called Ocean, and a second one that’s a solid blue called Delft.  Here’s number two, blocked and ready for ???

I like this blue version a lot.  The texture of the stitches really stands out.  I just still don’t know what I am going to do with it.  I am toying with the idea of putting it in a ring and hanging it in a window in my craft room.  It blocked out to 12 inches, to the tips of the large picots, although the doily shrunk back a little after it was unpinned.  I could probably stitch it into a 12 inch diameter ring, if I could find a silver one.  I held the doily up to the window when the sun was out, and it looks really pretty that way.  I should have taken a picture then, because now it is raining and it is not as pretty.  I have a lace panel hanging over that window, so I wouldn’t be able to see the stitch texture if I hang it there, but I could always move it around.  It definitely deserves a good home, though, as lovely as it is.

Now, what’s next?

I'd love to hear your ideas on this!
